But what does that change mean? and why is everyone paying the extra cost for soft close drawers? Example of drawers in a Kitchen Envy kitchen. STANDARD DRAWERS: One of the biggest reasons standard drawers are still selected is due to cost. With fewer functions, they are cheaper to manufacture and therefore cost you, the clients, less. If your kitchen only has a single bank of drawers this might not add up to much, but if there are many it definitely becomes a factor in the decision.
